Old and New

This week ah ber's mood is quite ok. Busy but I feel good. Stressed but I feel good. This week was a historical week where I completed the sale of my tampines flat and completed the purchase of my sengkang flat.

Yes. I am the proud co-owner of my 5 room sengkang flat together with my darling hubby kenji. Tat nite, as I laid in bed I finally had the feeling that the flat is mine.

With the tampines flat closed, I think I closed another chapter in my life. Mixed emotions inside me about my tampines flat. The most expensive thing I ever owned in my life. $472k. A maisionette which I have never spent a single nite inside before. I used to wonder how would it be to stay inside the maisionette, make it my home, a cosy place I can call home and return to at the end of each day.

Each time I passed the flat on my way to other places. I would excited show and tell to the people along-side of me that I proudly owned a unit there. If I was alone, I would glance upwards where I could see my balcony.

My maisionette has 3 bedrooms upstairs - the master room is huge and all the other bedrooms had built-in cabinets. I have a total of 3 toilets, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. There is a small store room upstairs and all rooms are fully aircon. The floors are all parquet, including the staircase.

Downstairs, there's an area for a visitor lounge when they enter. The dining area is huge and you can put a 8 to 10 dining seater. The living area has a balcony and you could put in a garden table and have breakfast there. You could comfortably put in a sofa of quite a good size and still have walking space.

The kitchen is country styled and very well-kept. The service balcony can put 3 washing machines and my laundry as well.

That, was my dream house. Now, it isn't mine anymore. Feels kinda sad to lose something that belonged to you before. But....... if I didnt lose this, I will not have my better one!!!!!

My current house - IT BELONGS TO ME FINALLY.

Situated in Sengkang, it is very near to hougang and serangoon where my friends and family are. It is also 15mins to bradel and a straight road down to bradel.

My living room is really damn huge and there are 2 sofa sets sitting in my living room - 1 is a L-shaped sofa and 1 is a 3+2 seater that is of quite good size. I have a plasma TV that is like 42inches??? I have cable for all my favourite channels (except Zone Reality cos it closed down) and everyday is like movie-day for me when I watch my TV.

I have a balcony that has a 4 seater dining table sitting there where my friends and the gods of gambling gather to play Da Lao Er (Dai Di) and it is also a smoking joint for smokers with a huge ashtray. My plants and hamster also stay in the balcony and there is also a rack of clothes there cos we have too many clothes and cannot squeeze all into our cabinets.

I have 3 bedrooms where 1 is the guest room but currently terror is staying there. It is turned into a mahjong room when the goddesses of mahjong comes over and "Pong" and "Eat" and "Gang" and "Hu" (Win). In tis guest room, our play station is also stationed there and this is the favourite room of my godsons. ahhahahaha.

The next door is the study room where kenji will spend his time fightin the 3 kingdoms and this is also where I use the computer to type this blog post now. Hahahhaaha. My lappy is outside in the living room and I will fight my warcraft or control my SIMS outside with 1 eye on the TV. :)

My master room is my favourite room in the whole house cos I SLEEP there. Hahahhaha. Junior sleeps on the master bed with me and daddy.

All my rooms are parquet floored and I find it not very dog friendly.

The best part of the house is my kitchen cos I normally put my heart and soul there cooking for my friends and family. My laundry is done there too cos my kitchen is quite big too. i am going to install a bath-tub in my common toilet and spa there everyday. Bath-tub is here but I am waiting for the renovations to the toilet to be done and also the installation of a new storage heater cos I think the current electrical heater cannot tahan the usage.

My storeroom is also very big and I have a queen and single mattress in there and a huge 3 layer rack and a comote and some other things such as the spa machine and the aromatherapy oils and The kids' pram and other things and I can still walk around there - see how HUGE it is.

Ok, enough of my bragging. Let me brag abit la cos I am so happy ma....... Sorry la. :)

Think the happiest is junior and terror cos they can run around the whole house like mad..... :) And I chase them around the house during play time - I think I am mad too. hahahahahaha....
