Last sat celebrated my popo (my grandma on my mum's side)'s birthday. We had dinner at Zi Yean Restaurant @ Blk 56 Lengkok Bahru..... Food's not bad.... I would give them 8/10 for the taste and presentation.... As usual, we had 2 tables in the VIP room..... (they like their privacy) and we had a large Plasma TV inside where we watched Japan hour on CNA.....
Pics time....
Joven and my cousin Michelle. And I still dun like her dad who unfortunately, is my uncle. And sorry mum, I still wun hesitate to blast him if he try to mess with me again or my son....
I saw this presented on the table layout and was quite intrigued by it. Really cool design I think and I am proud to be a woman cos I have the curves like this too..... **PROUD**
FOOD PICS NOW...
When it came to this dish - SHARKSFIN, I was squinting my eyes to see WHERE was the sharksfin cos normally you can see them small fins sticking out somewhere in the dish... but this one, I couldn't, but I HAD TO FIND IT, cos the manager was introducing this dish like it was some BIG SHOT like that..... like that shark where it came from was some special shark.....
Then I found it.... it was really special cos it was in a WHOLE CHUNK of fins..... soooooo cool..... reminded me of 1 special lunch I had years back at a thai restaurant near novena when my friend's dad treated me to a WHOLE PIECE OF sharksfin in a claypot.....cool.... I was 18 years old I think......
And my cousin Samuel made this for everyone. And my stupid uncle didnt even wan to take any. My parents and my cousin were late and my uncle was not very happy with them so he sort of "SPOILT" my dinner...... anyway, I wish my cousin the best of luck in his career of F&B.... his cakes were simply D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.....
And yes Mr Kenji Lim, this is a CARROT CAKE.... the ang moh type one.... Muahahahahaha....
