Yesterday I had a bad day at work, but the evening made up for everything.
In the evening I went grocery shopping with my mum (YES, you didnt read wrongly - its MY MUM). She wanted to buy rice so I offered to go with her to carry it. We walked around looking for a nice CNY card for my dad cos he wanted to send it to his friend. Then we walked around the shops and my mum showed me the blouse she had her eye on.
I asked her to go and try it on, and it fitted rather nicely. So I bought the blouse for her for CNY. And I bought an identical one so that we can wear it together on CNY 1st day. Hahahahaha. Hers is bright red while mine, as usual, is bright blue. Hahhahahahah. I actually liked the black one, but I very "pan tang" so I bought bright blue instead.
After tat we went to NTUC and she bought the 10kg rice and since i was with her, she bought soft drinks as well. My dad normally doesn't help her (being the semi-MCP, traditional old patriach, MAN OF THE HOUSE) in grocery shopping cos he sweats very easily and he doesn't like to walk over to the central and get himself all sweaty and hot. Only sometimes he rides his motor and they go grocery shopping elsewhere.
I finally realise that actually tugging 10kg of rice from NTUC and walking back to my place, was not an easy feat. I was telling my mum and dad that it felt like carrying Coco & Junior together!!! I was suddenly full of admiration for my mum. She is not very young, +30years older than me, yet she does her housework like she is in her 20s or 30s. She does everything herself. Only CNY she will ask my dad to help out in the major spring cleaning of the sofas, the doors, the tidying of his rubbish in the hall. I wonder will I ever be like her? Or will my new house be like a piggy sty?
Last time I was really bad at housekeeping. My room would be in such a mess that I cannot see the floor (tat was before Junior came along). And my aunts and brother and mum and dad would comment that even if a robber came along, he wouldn't dare go into my room for fear of booby traps and even if there was a robbery, I wouldn't know what was stolen. And for outsiders, they would think that I have recently been robbed and the robbers were the ones who turned everything upside down in my room looking for loot. Hahahahhaa.
Well, I try to do my part for MY ROOM. Hahaha. And jus try not to spill my things into the living room to make things more troublesome for them. That is why I am packing my stuff into bags and boxes and sending them to sengkang already. Lesser things mean lesser work to pack them.
Yesterday after my grocery shopping, I sat down watching TV with them and then went to pack my room (again - dun you get tired of hearing me say I packing and packing and packing? Well, I am indeed still packing Hahahaha). I only managed to pack 4 bags of clothes and 2 bags of my trophies and wine and liquor.
My cupboard of clothes is still 3/4 FULL. I really dun understand why I have so many clothes? I already packed 4 bags of clothes and my cupboard is still 3/4 FULL. WHY? I also removed 1 bag of clothes for the needy.
I am moving these 6 bags of stuff + 1 trolley full of Ikea items to sengkang TONTIE. YEAH. At least my dreams are moving nearer.....
This morn i was awaken by a phone call from kenji saying he arranged for the painters to go down tomorrow. I was so happy to hear that, that I woke up straight away, and I have been happy since then till now...... heehee......
Later I going to sengkang and move my stuff up (I have a wonderful trolley from my mum - heehee) and then I am going to dismantle the beds and see if I can bring the single one home for my brother - I wun be too ambitious to bring the queen one to bradel. I shall wait for the tambi(s) and ah neh(s) to help me on tat.
YEAH.
But yesterday I still didnt sleep well. I dunno wat I was dreaming of cos I forgot already but they were not very nice dreams la. WAT IS WRONG WITH ME?
